Privacy policy

Short version: Vyntrace has no server and no accounts. Your usage numbers stay in your browser, on your iPhone and in the folder you choose. We cannot see them.

What Vyntrace is

Vyntrace is a Chrome extension (“Vyntrace Sync”) and an iPhone app with widgets. The extension saves the usage reports that Claude (claude.ai, “Reflect”) and ChatGPT (chatgpt.com, “Analytics”) show you when you open those pages, keeps a small summary, and sends that summary to a folder you choose. The iPhone app reads that folder and draws your month.

What is collected, and where it goes

• Usage reports and summaries. The numbers on the Claude and ChatGPT pages you open (for example conversations per day, tokens, credits, models, tools) and the text of the Claude Reflect report. They are stored in your browser (extension storage) and in a small summary file. They are never sent to the developer or to any server we run.
• Account labels. To keep several accounts apart, the extension keeps a short identifier of each Claude or ChatGPT account and a masked address such as “a••••@example.com”. These stay on your devices and in your folder.
• Your Google account. If you choose Google Drive, Google asks you to sign in and to allow the permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. The extension and the app then create and read a folder named “Vyntrace Sync” in your Google Drive, and only files Vyntrace created there. The sign-in token stays in your browser (extension) or in the iOS Keychain (app). Vyntrace never sees your Google password.
• iCloud Drive or another folder. If you choose a folder, Vyntrace writes only inside the folder you picked.
• Nothing else. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts.

Google API Services

Vyntrace’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Drive access is used only to store and read Vyntrace’s own summary files for you. It is not used for advertising, not sold and not shared with anyone, and no person at Vyntrace reads it.

Sponsored cards

The iPhone app may show a sponsored card. It is not chosen with your usage reports, and your reports are never given to advertisers. A paid option removes sponsored cards.

Keeping and deleting your data

• Remove the extension or clear its data to delete everything it holds in your browser.
• Delete the “Vyntrace Sync” folder in your Drive or iCloud Drive to delete the summaries there. Delete the app to remove its copy on your iPhone.
• Revoke Google access at any time in your Google Account under “Third-party apps & services”.

Children

Vyntrace is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version and its date will appear on this page.
